Custom Orders - Icons sized 10 inches or more
Our Custom Orders service is intended for icons developed entirely around specific customer requirements and references. Unlike Made to Order icons — which are recast versions of existing Five Metal Masonry models — Custom Orders involve the creation of a new sculptural interpretation shaped through discussion, reference material, iconographic requirements, scale preferences, and detailing expectations.
Each piece is individually developed in consultation with the customer. This process is suited for those seeking highly specific forms, rare iconographies, temple-inspired recreations, personalised commissions, or icons developed for a particular devotional, architectural, or collection context.
ORDER PROCESS
- Reference Images of good resolution to be shared
- Any modifications/changes to reference images should be through clear written communication
- Once the requirement is received, price quotation and time required will be intimated by us to you.
- On confirmation of order, the wax model will be crafted. Pictures of the wax model (in all angles) will be shared with you.
- Any number of changes/corrections to the image can be provided by you during this phase.
- Once changes/corrections are implemented , the updated wax model pictures are shared with you for final review and approval.
- Your choice of finish for the final icon to be provided. Polished Bronze or Antique Patina. Refer to FAQ's-Bronzes 101 for more details on the finish.
- On approval, the wax model is then taken through the next set of processes of creation of the mould, bronze casting and finally the finishing, detailing and polishing of the icon.
- Once completed, the final images of the icon are shared with you before shipping.
TIME REQUIRED: Usually 30 to 45 days from the date of confirmation of order (any changes to this will be communicated)
PAYMENT TERMS:
- 50% Advance on confirmation of Order
- 50% Balance payment before Shipping.
*All bronze icons incur + 5% GST charges
SHIPPING CHARGES: Additional on actual basis to be borne by you. Will be intimated before shipping is done.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS:
For shipments outside India, we quote shipping costs based on the total weight and customers' shipping address that is calculated at the time of checkout. Shipping is done through FedEx/DHL express or equivalent partner.
Non-Antiquity Certificate for International Shipments (Not Applicable within India):
Larger Bronze Icons (of sizes equal to or greater than 12 inches) may require a Non-Antiquity Certificate to be provided when shipped outside India. For Icons above 45cms, a Non-Antiquity certificate is mandatory.
The Non-Antiquity certificate can be applied and procured only after the customer has provided the full shipping address and has made the payment in full. Procurement of the Non-Antiquity certificate may take anywhere between 15 to 45 days.The shipping timeline in such cases will be communicated through email/WhatsApp.
The delivery times for international shipments varies depending on the customer address. It usually takes anywhere between 5 to 10 working days for the order to be delivered from the date of shipment.
RETURNS/EXCHANGES/REFUNDS: No returns, exchanges or refunds on customised orders.
